A letter to my 24-year-old self

Dear 24-year-old self,

How are you? I bet you had a great time yesterday.

You only have a year to go before you celebrate the first quarter of your life. But before you turn a year older, I have seen your successes and failures.

You got a Master's degree from the university. You traveled to Iloilo, Ilocos Region, Negros Oriental, and Baguio City. You met Senator Grace Poe for the fourth time. You got a new job. You got two new tattoos. You passed the English for Kids and Top Tutor Training. You got your highest salary for July. You were able to keep the money on your own.

However, you tend to delay things that needed immediate attention. You tend to give up easily, although the problem is too easy to solve and to understand. You tend to be easily irritated if someone intimidates you. You tend to be impatient when it comes to buying things, especially those you do not need. You tend to waste time on your smartphone and not focusing on your mom's tasks or sleep. You tend to lose your temper when it comes to teaching kids that are too lazy or showing no interest in the lesson.

But don't worry, dear. That's okay. It's never too late for you to change. There's always a time for you to discover more about yourself. Don't give up too easily, even the smallest of problems. You need to be more patient and calm, even in the worst of times. You must be more responsible and do things immediately. Always focus on what is happening in real life and lessen your time in using your smartphone. Always do your best in your job. Always listen to other people, especially your mom. Remember, she is the only jewel you have in your hands.

Also, have some time to watch your weight. You can live healthier by eating more vegetables and fruits over meat. You have to be more composed and organized, as well as you must think of something that pushes you to be a more mature individual. Girl, we are never getting younger. Love your family, friends and all the people around you. And don't forget to be yourself and have more faith in God!

Lastly, don't take life too seriously. Be money-wise and be practical. Always be positive and enjoy every moment of your life. Don't forget to be yourself. Control your temper and be kind to one another. Always smile and know that you are worthy.

Cheers to 24 years of existence on this planet called Earth. Looking forward to more travel, opportunities, and blessings! God bless you always and wishing you the best of luck!

XOXO,
Your 23-year-old self

8 Things That I've Learned In 2020

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." - Charles Dickens, "A Tale of Two Cities" 2020 - A year full of the best and the worst of times. Living in a new location amid the pandemic was not a bed of roses for me and my mom. A few days before placing the entire Luzon under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), something unexpected happened. One of my uncles was rushed to the hospital due to heavy breathing. Originally, we planned to move on to a new location a few days before my mother's birthday. However, we left Quezon on the tenth day of March - bringing only a few bags full of clothes and other household stuff.  Then, the ECQ happened. During that time, I need to go out in a face mask and wearing a special quarantine pass. Also, the mode of transportation became very limited. Fortunately, there are some stores near my house where I can buy some food and drink. My relatives and the town officials gave me some food and drink for free. Most of a

Mashin Sentai Kiramager: The Super Sentai Series That Made Me Shine

Sparkling vehicles that can talk, a modest princess from the planet of crystals, and a junior high school student's leadership - there's more than these things that I love from the Super Sentai Series' 44th entry, Mashin Sentai Kiramager. The first time I discovered about that series was the ending credits' dance that unexpectedly showed up on YouTube. Titled "Kiraful Miracle Kiramager", five young individuals dressed in Magiranger-inspired uniforms were dancing onstage. The vocals provided by Takashi Deguchi and the music itself are so lively and dynamic. But that didn't stop there. I researched the show thoroughly and paid close attention to the characters and the plot. My curiosity pushed me to watch all the 45 episodes and some movies, as well as to listen to their songs and background music.  Well, to be honest with you, I felt sick and tired of doing the same old stuff in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. I want to explore and do new things to keep
